Rippey Fun Day promises fun for all ages Saturday, July 20.
The fun begins with a parade at 10 am. Other activities include pickleball and 3-on-3 basketball at 11 am; a car/truck/semi/motorcycle show from 1 to 4 pm; vendors beginning at 10 am; lawn games from 11 am to 6 pm; a 3K color run/walk at 2 pm; and a petting zoo from 3 to 7 pm.
There will be an abundance of food, with food truck on Main St starting at 10 am; burgers grilled by the Greene County Cattlemen’s Association at noon; and pulled pork sandwiches from 4:30 to 6:30 pm at the United Methodist Church.
The Town and Country Band will perform at 6 pm at Walt Anderson Field, with their first performance of a setting of Ernest L. Thayer’s poem, ”Casey at the Bat,” composed by Randol Alan Bass. Jeff Lamoureux will narrate. Baseball starts at 7:30, with fireworks to follow at 9:30. The Tri-County Band will play for a street dance from 10 pm to midnight.
